Barolo DOCG 2015 CANNUBI
Cannubi is considered the Grand Cru of Barolo, an extraordinary wine in terms of style and elegance. The absolute quality of the grapes coming from the Cannubi hill is determined by the particular composition of the soil: they are poorly developed soils, made up of grey-whitish clayey marl on the surface. The soil where the Damilano vineyards are located has a high percentage of sand (up to 45%) which gives the grapes intense aromas of cherry, plum and tobacco, pink and evolving violet.
Little potassium, good calcium and magnesium give the wine finesse and elegance. With an intense and lively colour, the wine has a high polyphenolic concentration. What is striking to the eye is its garnet ruby red color with limited presence of orange reflections and a broad, enveloping aroma, with evident fruity notes of cherry and plum and evolved hints of tobacco, licorice and cocoa.
When tasted, the palate is enveloped by a harmonious, pleasantly dry flavour, with soft tannins and sensations of body and fullness.
