Barolo DOCG Riserva 2009 CANNUBI
Barolo Riserva Cannubi “1752” has been produced since harvest 2008, when Damilano family decided to enhance the historic core of Cannubi vineyard located in the highest and most central part of the hill.
It is a small portion of about 2 hectares planted with Nebbiolo vines which today are between 50 and 70 years old . “1752” is conceived as a Reserve starting from the harvest. Very few bottles produced in an elegant “vintage” packaging to underline the culture, tradition and wisdom of a land that the world envies to the Langhe: Cannubi.
GRAPE VARIETAL: Nebbiolo 100%
SOIL TYPE: Calcareous with 45% sand, 35% loam, 20% clay
BOUQUET: Intense and balanced, with notes of violet, red fruit, cherry and plum, spices, liquorice, cocoa, leather and tobacco
PRODUCTION AREA: Municipality of Barolo – single vineyard Cannubi
COLOUR: Garnet ruby red
VINIFICATION: Fermentation for 20 days + 30 days of submerged – cap maceration depending on the vintage
VINEYARD EXPOSURE: South, South – East
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 14,5% by Volume
TASTE: Dry, robust, full-bodied, very persistent, rich and velvety
SUGGESTED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16°/17°C
