Appearance:
The alcoholic fermentation made in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, to allow long times of contact of the must with the skins. Malolactic fermentation occurs immediately after the alcoholic fermentation. Aging: 24 months in French Oak barrels, 50% new and 50% second hand plus 6 months of refining in bottle. Millepassi, italian for “one thousand steps”, refers to an ancient Roman road crossing the estate and to the old Roman measure of length “milium” that corresponds to 1.480 meters. Cellaring recommendation: Up to 20 years
Tasting Notes:
The color is intense ruby red with purple hues. Complex and clean on the nose, intense bouquet with notes of Cinnamon, Blackberry, Blueberry, Black Pepper, Ripe Pepper and Cocoa flavors. The taste is full, harmonious and warm, with silky tannins and a long spicy finish
